Solidarity · Grandvalira Resorts
Our commitment to people.
A mountain of opportunities for everyone
At Grandvalira Resorts we believe that contact with nature and practicing sports can contribute to people’s well-being.
Through our initiatives and collaboration with social organizations, we work to bring the mountain closer to groups in need of support, promote inclusion, and contribute to educational and social projects both inside and outside Andorra.
Solidarity rounding
Pal Arinsal and the Soldeu–El Tarter sectors of Grandvalira are promoting the solidarity rounding initiative in collaboration with Univers Bomosa and Worldcoo.
This initiative allows customers to voluntarily round up the amount of their card purchases and donate the difference to a social cause. Participation is available at designated points in the resorts, including dining locations.
Since its launch, the three projects supported by this initiative have received nearly 26,000 euros thanks to almost 33,000 microdonations.
Small contributions that add up
How can you participate?
When paying by card at an authorized point, you can choose to round up the amount of your purchase and donate the difference. The contribution is voluntary and is added to those of other customers to support the beneficiary project.
Support for Cáritas Andorrana
The solidarity rounding collaborates with Cáritas Andorrana to help children and young people in vulnerable situations in the country access educational and leisure resources.
The goal is to support their development and help break the cycle of poverty.
Grandvalira Social
Grandvalira Social was created with the aim of opening paths, overcoming barriers, and generating opportunities through contact with nature and the practice of skiing.
Through stays at Grandvalira, both in winter and summer, it offers different groups the chance to disconnect from their everyday realities and enjoy new experiences in the mountains.
Its mission is to promote sports activities and facilitate access for individuals and groups who need support, prioritizing projects in Andorra and also collaborating with initiatives outside the Principality.
We open paths and share experiences
Sport, leisure and inclusion
Grandvalira Social works to:
- Promote leisure and free time activities for children and young people.
- Encourage the practice of adapted sports.
- Boost the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
- Promote values such as effort, self-improvement, and sportsmanship.
Collaboration with social organizations
Pal Arinsal collaborates in raising donations for Bicicletes sense Fronteres, an association that develops projects in Senegal to improve access to education.
The initiative provides bicycles to students in rural areas to reduce the distance they have to walk to school. In this way, it helps to improve their access to educational centers and their academic performance.
