PAL ARINSAL, WE ARE SKI & BIKE
With more than 50 years of history, Pal Arinsal is a resort that has managed to evolve and diversify its offerings while always maintaining its essence
From the world of snow to the mountain biking benchmark
In 1973, in Arinsal, the first ski lift was installed, marking the beginning of an adventure connected to snow and the mountains. A decade later, in 1982, the Pal resort was born—an exceptional natural setting that, over the years, established itself as a leading family destination. In 2001, the two sectors were joined by a cable car, creating a single skiable area: Pal Arinsal. Since then, its slopes have welcomed generations of skiers and visitors looking to enjoy nature and skiing. In 2004, Pal Arinsal and the Ordino Arcalís ski resort came together, founding Vallnord.
That same year during the summer, Pal inaugurated its Bike Park, which over time has become the best in the Pyrenees, earning international recognition.
Since the 2022-2023 season, Pal Arinsal has been part of Grandvalira Resorts, taking a new step in its history and reaffirming its commitment to excellence and innovation.
Winter in Pal Arinsal
The winter season at Pal Arinsal offers a complete experience for everyone, with a resort divided into two sectors—Pal and Arinsal—connected by cable car. In total, more than 63 kilometers of slopes suited for all levels make this ski area an ideal place, whether for beginners or those looking to refine their technique.
Thanks to a team of qualified, multilingual instructors who ensure high-quality teaching in a safe environment, both the Pal and Arinsal schools offer personalized training for all levels, allowing beginners and advanced skiers alike to progress in skiing, snowboard, and other specialized disciplines. The resort also has a specific offer for the little ones, with classes designed to introduce children from 3 years old.
In addition, the resort promotes other activities in the snow, such as snowshoe excursions, ski mountaineering routes, or the Winter Bike Park, an innovative proposal that allows you to descend by bike on circuits set up in the lower area of the Pal sector during the winter months.
The gastronomic offering includes 21 dining venues distributed throughout the resort, with options that combine quality, variety, and strategic location to round out the ski day.
On the other hand, Pal Arinsal hosts top-tier sporting events, such as the Comapedrosa Andorra —a World Cup Vertical Kilometer and SkyRace event— and the ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup, consolidating its position as an international benchmark in high mountain sports.
In addition to cycling, Pal Arinsal offers a recreation area with complementary activities designed for everyone, including options such as the rope park, tubing, trampolines, inflatables, and a zip line, consolidating its summer offerings as an active, diverse experience connected to the natural environment.

Summer in Pal Arinsal
During the summer months, activity is concentrated in the Pal sector, which becomes a prime setting for mountain bike enthusiasts. The Bike Park at Pal Arinsal, with more than 60 kilometers spread across 30 trails of downhill, cross-country, enduro, and four-cross, has established itself as one of the most renowned in southern Europe.
One of the resort’s major initiatives is the Bike World concept: six areas specially designed to learn and progress on the bike in a gradual way, from gaining balance and confidence to preparing to tackle more technical descents in a safe and controlled environment.
